What a fantastic diner! The food is consistently great and the service is always the kind of friendly hometown care that you would expect in a place like Cambridge. The owner is the chef and it’s clear that not only does he know his stuff in the kitchen, but that he genuinely cares about his patrons and his staff. It’s obvious by the great atmosphere and the quality of the food! They do a great lunch so be sure to try it too, but I recommend breakfast. Best flat top hash browns around (with onions of course), perfectly basted eggs and GREAT bacon. Not sure what brand they serve but it’s not your average, cardboard placeholder for bacon that so many places serve. Cambridge is just 20 minutes from Madison and it’s well worth the drive for this diner! Make it a breakfast or lunch destination. You’ll be glad you did. Keep up the great work Lake Ripley Family Restaurant!

My traditional breakfast of ham and eggs and toast was very good! It came fast with good service. The place was almost full which shows how popular it is. The meal was topped off with excellent coffee.

Was heading to Madison when I decided to stop by this small restaurant, and I will definitely be coming back here again. It felt like all the waitresses loved working there. Top quality Cooks in the back. They enjoyed working together and it showed because the food was amazing and fast. I've never seen efficiency like that before.

Love this place! Not pretty or pretentious- just good old fashioned delicious food at a very low price. Very friendly waitresses in a family dining environment where no one looks at you funny when you say Grace. I'll be back for sure

Busy morning, so little slow but GREAT breakfast food. Yummy!
